I don’t have a lot of free travel insurance, so I bought this insurance because I thought it would be a good investment.
I didn’t know I would end up in a position where I’d have to pay thousands of dollars for a policy I’d never heard of.
The premium, $7,800, was just a drop in the bucket compared to what I would have been paying for a private policy.
I’m not complaining about the cost, but it doesn’t justify paying $7.8 million for coverage that’s not even available in the states I live in.
The policy I chose had no expiration date, which was a plus.
And, despite the fact that it has a few caveats, it’s still a great deal for someone who wants to keep the trip private.
This coverage has a very low deductible of $500 per person, which is a big plus for me.
