In this week’s episode, we talked with actress Ashley Graham about her time as a “Bachelor in Paradise” contestant, her first season as a contestant on the Real Housewife of Beverly Hilltop, and her current relationship with her husband, Nick Cannon.
What did you think about her portrayal?
She’s amazing, and she’s a huge part of the show and I’m glad to be a part of it.
How does your relationship with Nick have changed since your time on the show?
I have a different relationship with him now, and he is a huge contributor to the show.
How has your relationship improved since the season ended?
He is very supportive of the work that I do, which is very valuable.
I love that he is supportive of me, and that he loves me.
Do you think your relationship has improved?
I definitely have a better understanding of Nick and the show because I get to be there and interact with him.
Did you enjoy playing the Bachelor?
No.
It was a very rough experience, and I never thought that I would be on a show like that, but it was really fun.
Who would you like to see the next season of the “Bachelorette”?
I love all of them.
Who would I like to be on the next “Bears” season?
I think it would be really fun to play the next time they’re in the house.
Can you talk about the difference between your time as an “Inspector General” and “Super Inspector General”?
I’ve never been on a TV show where you get to play Inspector General and Super Inspector General.
That is my life, so I don’t think it’s a big deal.
Are there any differences between working as a cop in New York City versus in L.A.?
Not really, but I can tell you that I’m much better at it.
I heard you’re the only cast member from your hometown of Houston to play a “Superstar” in the “Criminal Minds” franchise.
That’s the kind of work I enjoy, and being a part and being the first cast member, it was a thrill.
You are the only member of your family to play an “Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.” character.
Why is that?
It’s the best job in the world.
I have been on this show since the beginning, so that was a great honor.
So, what are you working on now?
I’m working on an online dating site called “Babe Dating,” which is really exciting.
If you had to pick one “Bender” episode to watch, which would you choose?
I would pick “Benders Day.”
How much of a “bender” do you think you are?
I have a huge, huge, massive, huge crush on the character of Bender.
I like that he’s a really fun character to watch.
Which “Bordertown” episode would you pick as the best?
[laughs] I’d say “Bart the Genius” because it’s so unique.
When did you decide you wanted to become an actress?
I was really, really excited about acting when I was a kid.
I remember watching “Beverly Hills Cop” when I first started out and thinking, “I want to be like that.”
What are your top priorities right now?
The only thing that matters to me right now is the work I’m doing.
It’s not like, “Oh, I want to do more things.”
I have an entire new life now.
Any advice for someone who is just starting out?
Just work hard and do it for the love of the craft.
